I started my transformation to a vegan diet about a year ago and I could say it has been the best gift for my health ever since.
One day, after a long trip I was feeling very constipated and bloated. I decided to clean the refrigerator and pantry and start a plant based challenge.
I threw away everything that was processed: breads, pasta, chocolates, white sugar, milk products, and animal products. Then, I researched vegan books at the bookstore and internet about seasonal eating. I finally went to the grocery store and bought plenty of food. The best part of this experience was that I ended up saving money because I did not buy meat.
I started cooking delicious meals following recipes from books which I bought in the past from different countries I visited. Also, I created my own recipes full of flavor and deliciousness.
I lost 7 pounds in the first two weeks of eating plenty of vegetables, fruits, legumes, and grains.
Since then, my weight has been the same. I haven’t gain any weight at all. I feel less tired, my mind feels sharp and I am more productive at work. My digestive issues are resolved! No more bloating feeling or constipation. The skin rash I had for long time is gone (I went to see allergy and dermatologist doctors who prescribed blood test, steroids and topical ointment in the past with temporal relieve of the symptoms, as soon as I finished the treatment skin rash came back)
I used to have painful cramps every month during my menstrual cycle and they are gone too since I changed my diet.
